[RECIPE] Korean Kalbi Short Ribs

I love a good bbq in the summer! Having spent the last few weeks in Hawaii, I've been able to enjoy some of my favorite foods from when I used to live here.

Here's my recipe for Korean Kalbi Short Ribs marinade.

3-4 lbs of boneless short ribs, sliced to 1cm thick
2 cups of low sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup of sesame oil
1/2 cup of rice vinegar
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 onion (yellow or white), chopped
3 stalks of spring onion, chopped

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the meat. Stir well until the sugar breaks down.

2. Add the meat and let it sit in the fridge to marinate for at least 3 hours. The rice vinegar will breakdown the meat and tenderize it.

3. When you're ready to start bbq-ing, put the grill on high heat, about 450 F (approx. 230 C).

4. Put the meat on the grill and cook for about 1.5 min on each side.
